Shinshu Distillery(otherwise known as "Mars") is located in Miyata town on Kuyshu Island. It was established in 1985 by Hombo Shuzo Ltd, a maker of shochu since 1872. Shinshu's whisky is refined just amid the island's unforgiving winters. In task from 1985-1992 and afterward 2011 to introduce, this is really Shuzo's third residential refinery. The past have been the Yamanashi Distillery (1960-1969) and the Mars Kagoshima Distillery (1978-1984). 'Cosmo' (which alludes to a mountain close to the refinery), is another name for this maker.
