Volume: 700ml ABV: 46% Age: No Age Statement Country: Japan This whisky was matured in Mizunara which is commonly referred to as Japanese oak. Mizunara oak is commonly used for the maturation of whisky and was used to finish this Ichiro’s Malt whisky. This Mizunara Wood Reserve is a vatted malt of Hanyu and Chichibu single malts. Pure Malt matured in Japanese Oak, vatted and bottled at Chichibu distillery. Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Wood shavings, perhaps a freshly sharpened pencil, rum and raisin ice cream, plenty of floral aromas of cut grass and some Sandalwood. Palate: There’s the signature apples and pears but with a little citrus added. Toffee sweetness attracts honey and malt. Finish: A little peppery and some spicy ginger.
